Valerie Wills was born in Winter Garden, Florida just on the outskirts of Orlando. At an early age, she found herself writing stories and filling composition books in elementary school. Later, she found inspiration from C.S. Lewis’ ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ and Robin McKinley’s ‘Deerskin’. She learned through them that you can let your imagination run wild and allow the main character to struggle. John Wilkerson entered the writing madhouse after spending far too many years generating advertising and webpage content. His novels focus on science-fiction thrillers, with a dash of campy thrown in for fun. To add a touch of realism to his writings, Mr. Wilkerson draws upon his thirty-plus years of martial arts training. He finds fight scenes to be one of most enjoyable, and yet, difficult parts of a story to master. Rye Ironstone is a bit of an alter ego for me. We all have our issues, and that's why I like Rye so much. I get lots of questions of who Rye is based upon. The honest answer is no one. When I created the character I blended a bit of Jack Burton's idiotic bravado and Kolchak the Night Stalker's ability to experience the most crazy of encounters. Rye is a chance for me to write a fun adventure where you root for the hero even though he has several social shortcomings. Jason Meents (pronounced Ments) born in Illinois and now living in Colorado, started drawing since he could pick up a crayon. Professionally and as a freelance artist Jason has taken on many projects over the years with his talent. He has done work from graphic designs to sports illustrations for professional athletes. However, with the expected birth of his daughter his work took a turn in focus and now, he has won the world over with his "Tykes take over" art which gives all the characters we have grown up with or just grown to love a whole new look. Andrea Molinari and his son wrote The Shepherd. It follows Professor Lawrence Miller after his teenage son Val’s tragic death from a drug overdose and he cannot shake the sense that his son’s soul is lost and wandering between heaven and earth. Grieving and deeply disturbed, he makes a fateful decision to commit suicide, electing to pursue his son into the afterlife. Lawrence’s soul awakens and immediately encounters his deceased father who has arrived to greet him in order to help him transition over. However, Lawrence rejects his father’s offer, choosing instead to stay in the ‘seam,’ the middle ground between heaven and earth, so that he can find his son and seek retribution. Lawrence embarks on his search for Val, beginning at his son’s grave. But as Lawrence begins to wage a brutal campaign of retribution against those responsible for the drugs that killed Val, his existence becomes a terrifying conflict between his unchecked anger...and his instinctive knowledge that he has lost his own way.
