 Episode 30 — Savage Cheats | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:08:58

Hi there! Pro Tour Brussels happened last weekend, and it was quite the controversial one. The Chapin incident, for a start, brings a lot of discussion topics — here's Cedric Phillips's take on the issue if you want to know more about it. Matt's playing in a GP this weekend and he doesn't know what to play — the Pro Tour doesn't seem to have helped him crack what seems like a really open and diverse format. As always we have a few fun games for you, including an exciting new variant on Fact or Fiction. Thanks for listening, and make sure you check out our lovely sponsors, the one and only Magic Madhouse. Love, The Blue Envelope team.

 Episode 29 — Accidental Brussels | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:13:58

Hi there! We're all brimming with excitement for the Pro Tour that's happening this weekend - best of luck to all the brits and friends of the show that are playing in Brussels over the next few days. We spend a bit talking about the pro tour, as well as Standard in general and the best ways to approach a new format post-Pro Tour. Of course, it's games ahoy as usual, and please fill in our RPTQ info form if you're playing in it and having done so yet. And make sure you check out our lovely sponsors Magic Madhouse, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook. Love, The Blue Envelope team x

 Episode 28 — Play or draw | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:20:12

Hi there! In today's episode we talk about whether it's correct to play or draw, and in what situations you might want to change that decision. Matt has a story to tell about a recent judge ruling, and of course we play a bunch of the usual games... one of them's even Easter themed! Make sure you check out our sponsors Magic Madhouse, and find us on Facebook and Twitter Happy Easter everyone!

 Episode 27 — Burnout | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:15:08

Hi There! WE HAVE NEW MICROPHONES! You guys have been requesting it a while, and we've finally managed to fix our recording process so that it doesn't sound like we're recording through a flooded public toilet. Enjoy our dulcet tones in new HD format! Another thing we've been asked about is burnout - when you get to the point of playing so much Magic that you're just not getting anywhere anymore. We're all dinosaurs, veterans of the game, and we've all been there, so we have a good deal of stuff to talk about on this matter.

 Episode 26 — Prerelease Card Evaluation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:07:42

Hi there! In case you haven't heard (where have you been?!), it's the Dragons of Tarkir prerelease this weekend, and we're all pretty excited to get to play with some new cards. Matteo wrote an article recently on a simple system with which to evaluate cards on the fly, so we relate that to a few cards from the new set and see how they all stack up. Let us know your thoughts on the new set, and of course make sure you check out our lovely sponsors Magic Madhouse.

Episode 25 —GP Liverpool in Review | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:13:45

We all made it out to the Grand Prix in Liverpool last weekend, and we spend today's episode discussing our thoughts on it - things we liked, things we disliked, and thing we think could have been improved. How was your experience of the GP? And how did it compare with others you've been to (if you have)? Let us know in the comments Of course, we have a few of the usual games too - Nameless Inversion is back this week. Make sure you check out our sponsors Magic Madhouse, and bookmark their life-saving pre-PTQ format and location breakdown. Thanks for listening, and make sure you're following us on Twitter, Facebook and iTunes.

 Episode 24 — My First GP | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:08:33

There's a local GP tomorrow, and we're brimming with excitement. This week we talk about GP procedure, from the football match the day before to the process of building and playing your deck. We try and build in some KTK block-specific strategy, but this episode's ideal if you're heading out to your first GP, or just not quite as experienced as us dinosaurs. And, of course, it wouldn't be a Blue Envelope Podcast without the usual fun and games. Make sure you check out our sponsors for great prices on sealed product and singles, including our various Trash to Treasures. Thanks for listening, and we'll hopefully see you all at the GP!

 Episode 23 — An Ode to PTQs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:07:13

This past weekend saw the final departure of PTQs as we know them, and finally brought home the bleak reality of facing a world where winning a qualifier won't quite get you there. We dedicate this podcast to the memories PTQs brought us, and talk about what the new world of PPTQs and RPTQs might bring. Of course, we also bring you a bunch of games, and end with a good ol' story time. Speaking of which, have you entered our competition yet? There's not long to go! Thanks for listening, and as ever, make sure to check out our sponsors Magic Madhouse for singles, sealed product, accessories and articles.

 Episode 22 — Dig Through Decklists | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:01:42

Rob's Back in't'Day today talks about Pro Tour San Diego, 5 years ago this week, when Simon Goertzen ended LSV's historic run for undefeated fame and glory before taking down Kyle Boggemes in the finals. Matt's been a bit busy writing articles recently, so we spend some time today discussing his up-and-coming article on processing information, and how to best analyse results and decklists from various tournaments. Of course, we bring you a slew of different games, and a tip on what card we thing's going to heat up soon in price and popularity. Make sure you register for Grand Prix Liverpool if you're planning on going, and if you're a local then please get in touch if you'd like to help us out. Don't forget to check out our sponsors, and remember there's still time to enter our competition to win a From the Vault: Annihilation.

 Episode 21 — Tales from the PT | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:12:04

There was a Pro Tour last weekend, which means we have quite a lot to talk about, from general tournament experience, to some Khans limited discussion, to a story time with Matt's PT-related antics. Of course, we bring you a slew of the usual games, with Spectral Progression, Nameless Inversion, Entweet the Angels and Trash to Treasure making the list this week. To top it all off, we have an exciting giveaway to bring you - check all the details out on the website.

 Episode 20 — Tales from the PTQ | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:31

We've had a chance to play some limited with the new set this week, so we talk about that for a while. Spoiler alert: dragons are pretty busted. We play the newly-named Nameless Inversion game, as well as a Spectral Progression (or is it Procession?). Rob's also got a PT-prediction-tastic Trash to Treasure lined up. Matt and Matteo both played in a PTQ (England's last ever) last weekend, so that provides some interesting discussion points... what would you do?

 Episode 19 — Khans, Sealed, Delivered | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:07:13

This week Rob’s back in’t’day talks about a GP with a British winner – you don’t see that in Oldham. It was back in the day when multicolour was en vogue – kind of like today. And, also kind of like today, a lot of people chose to play 2 colours anyway. This leads us into a chat about sealed deck and how we approach deckbuilding, especially when you have so many colours and so much manafix involved. What do you start with once you’e cracked the packs and laid ‘em out in front of you? We’ve got a bunch of the usual fun and games too, and then we end, as usual, with a story time.

 Episode 18 — Unbanned, Unrestricted | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:07:26

The banned and restricted list came out this week, so we get a chance to reflect on our predictions from last week and look ahead at how it will affect future formats. We try out a brand new game... currently with no name... so please send suggestions on a postcard! It's a week of new features it seems, as we also give another one — tentatively titled Trash for Treasure — a go. As you might have guessed, it's to do with money. Every week we'll pick a card we think will increase in price in the coming weeks... think of it as a lower-brow version of Radio 4's racing tips, with fewer horses and more dragons.

 Episode 17 — Learning From Your Losses | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:18:18

We (nearly) all played in (P)PTQs this past weekend, with varying but ultimately disappointing results, so we talk about our experiences and what we can take from them. As they were all Standard, we take a little time to discuss how a couple of new cards will affect the format going forward. After that, it's games ahoy with 3 of your favourite features, including Fate Reforged-themed Fact or Fiction, Fate Reforged-themed Spectral Progression, and not-at-all-Fate-Reforged-themed-but-still-quite-topical Entweet the Angels. Banned and Restricted announcements are being made on the day this podcast comes out, so we try our hand at a couple of predictions. Finally, true to old form, we end with a story time, involving confrontations with drunk night-travelers, 0-2 drops and belligerent identical twins. Please check out our sponsors Magic Madhouse if you're after cards from the new set... as you'll hear in this show, Fate Reforged cards are all pretty reasonably priced.

 Episode 16 — Bizarre of Baghdad (ReUpload) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:07:12

We're back with our first new episode of the new year, and with some exciting news — we'd like to welcome our new sponsors Magic Madhouse to the team. We're looking forward to working them on a bunch of new and exciting projects. Rob's Back in't'Day today talks about Grand Prix Houston 2002. Remember when tempo decks had 10 land? Neither did we, but that's what coverage is for right? We get a little sidetracked and start talking about other old cards, but that leads us into an interesting discussion on now-defunct MTG combos of yesteryear. Find the three we spoke about here. We play a couple of rounds of Entweet the Angels before trying out a new game sent in by a listener, called Pack Rat. Let's just say that one had mixed results.
