The Grapes of Wrath is a 1940 drama film directed by John Ford. It was based on John Steinbeck's 1939 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name. Noah and Jonesy, dressed in their finest old lady clothes and dusty wigs, discuss the Alfred Hitchcock hit: Psycho! Mild mannered hottie Marion Crane steals $40,000 from her employer in order to run away with her hunky fella Sam. But as paranoia and guilt get to her, she finds herself taking up a room in the Bates Motel and meets the nice-guy-but-is-he Norman Bates. What follows is a story filled with mommy issues, mystery, murder, stuffed birds for some reason, and tension that all culminates in a twist the likes of which M Night Shyamalan probably spent his teenage "special alone time" thinking about! WIth everyone knowing how the movie ends nowadays, does the twist still pack a punch? Aren't stab wounds supposed to appear on the body where someone gets stabbed? Does the movie still deserve to be considered one of the best ever made? We'll be the judge of that. When traditional medicine fails him, he looks for healing, and hope, in a mysterious enclave. He quickly learns that the enclave is at the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces hell bent on destroying the fabric of reality. Strange is forced to choose between his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.
