 Ep. 39 – The Twilight Saga | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:08:28

Ryan and Calvin check their man-cards at the door this week to sit down and discuss the Twilight saga with Ryan's two sisters, Lexcie and Lindsay, and his Mom and panelist Cindy C Bennett. The Twilight saga is the newest franchise to geekdom and brings in an immense amount of business at the box offices. With the fourth installment (of five) having been one of the highest grossing movies this year, we figured we'd better sit down and discuss what makes this franchise so huge. We discuss what we like about the books and movies and what we wish they would have done differently. This weeks episode is a must for any fan of the Twilight saga.   This and all of the previous episodes of the Rytime! Geekcast are available  on iTunes for free and if you hit the subscribe button on our page, every new episode of the RyTime! Geekcast will be automatically downloaded so you can listen at your leisure anytime!

Ep. 38 – Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:22:00

This weeks episode is a review and discussion of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. This episode was a lot of fun and we really got deep into why and how things happen and clues that link episode 3 with the original Star Wars movie, Episode IV A New Hope. In the Blu-ray. this is the photo that I think captures the essence of Anakin and Luke and bridges the two triliogies of Star Wars together:     I couldn't find this picture on the internet anywhere, so I just scanned it from my Star Wars Blu-ray booklet.     Here's that funny video of Emperor Palpatine I was talking about in the episode. It's all good, but it gets really good at about the 5:15 mark: http://youtu.be/Ps0ZV_Fut48   And here's the Star WEars Danceoff from 2010. Check out the 10:00 mark, is this continuity? 5:00 and 14:00 mark are amazing as well... http://youtu.be/ZIuzuRdET_I

This weeks episode is a geek crossover with the podcasts The Defective Geeks and Castle Co-op. Dianne and Gizzy join us from defectivegeeks.com and Blake joins us from castleco-op.com, both of which are amazing blogs and have an even more amazing weekly podcast.   Both podcasts have been SponSIRs on past episodes and this week we all come together via Skype to talk about the thing that brought all of us together Kevin Smith. when Kevin smith launched Smodcast Internet Radio (SIR), we all paid to have our podcasts advertised by him in a live read. A few days later, we all networked together on a Facebook fan page and we've been cross promoting and learning from each other ever since. It should come at no surprise that this week we come together to geek out about Kevin Smith. From a review of his new movie, Red State, to his upcoming reality show that takes place in his own comic book shop and starring the boys from Tell Em' Steve-Dave, another podcast on the Smodcast Network.   We also try our hand at the broadcast game One-Truth-Three!   The RyTime! Geekcast will be back in the K-Ute studios this Tuesday, the 18th at 7pm (mountain time) recording LIVE. We've got some exciting news about our plans for the future of the RyTime! Geekcast and we will be celebrating our 6 month anniversary! Be sure to tune in on the TuneIn Radio app (search K-Ute) or at www.kuteradio.org.   Thanks to all of our listeners out there! We love and appreciate you very much. If you have any suggestions, questions, or topics for an upcoming show, you can email us anytime at rytimegeekcast@gmail.com.
