Summary: PIIE Senior Fellow Jeffrey J. Schott and Professor Peter A. Petri of Brandeis University take audience questions following their presentations of two new books released by the Peterson Institute on December 19, 2012. Schott is coauthor of Understanding the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Petri is coauthor of The Trans-Pacific Partnership and Asia-Pacific Integration: A Quantitative Assessment. The TPP negotiations may achieve completion in 2013 and are the largest and most important trade talks taking place anywhere in the world.
