One of our goals with the new place is expand from our container garden we had into the town house and start growing more of our own food.
We’ve been toying around with the idea of having chickens in the back. Justin Rhodes came up as one of the go-to resources. Besides the articles out on Abundant Permaculture, he and his family have a channel on YouTube where they cover raising chickens along with snippets of their family routine on the farm.
Even if you have not into gardening and permaculture, I highly recommend checking them out. Besides the absolutely adorable kids, I love watching Justin and Rebekah.
There’s this playful banter between them. And like many couples there’s a story behind it, or rather several.
In this episode we get into:

* how they worked through a serious health issue that drained their finances
* how they supported one another while making a career change
* the realities of running a family business and raising 4 kids

Hope you enjoy!

Subscribe to Couple Money Podcast via iTunes, Stitcher, or copy this link to use with a podcatcher of your choice. You can also find me hanging out on Twitter and Facebook!

Selected Links from the Episode
If you’re curious to find out more about the Rhodes, permaculture, or how to launch a business, here are a few resources to check out:

* Justin’s YouTube Channel
* Permaculture Chickens
* Designing a Bus into a Home
* Just Plant
* Geoff Lawton

Thank You to Our Partners
Support for this podcast comes from partners like Personal Capital.
